Week #16: December 9th - December 13th

This week in class, we all but wrapped up our campaign. We discussed the results of our second opinion poll and then faced some of the final details of the project. We looked at past debates and talked about the structure of debating. On block day we held our Vice-Presidential Debate and then on Friday we talked about the final components and expectations of the project next week.

Homework: The campaign will end next week with final presentations and Presidential Stump Speeches!

Week #15: December 2nd - December 6th

This week in class, we continually followed our Campaign Trail. On Monday and Tuesday, we had theatrical days as we watched campaign commercials from other classes and donated to their campaigns. Then, on block day, we had our time to work on budgets and learned of a new scandal(!!) in our midst. On Friday, we held a press conference to address the indiscretions of our campaigns and then we prepared for the upcoming debate and final preparations.

Homework: The campaign manager will need to present on Friday and the VP Debates are next week!

Week #12: November 5th - November 9th

This week in class, things got very exciting and very overwhelming all in one take. Essentially, we were given our final project (for the semester), which is very lengthy and in-depth, but a lot of fun. We spent the first part of the week learning about what Political parties and why they exist, and then students were allowed to choose their own groups to create their own political party (the Final Project). We spent time working on their platforms as well as their party details; there was no additional homework.

Homework: None due
