Let me break it down, I am kind of in that place in life where I am
trying to do as much as I can because I love life and feel you shouldn’t
knock something til you try it. I do like to spend a lot of time with
friends and family, generally over some legit food. As for my
background, I’m Latino but I’ve got Spanish, Navajo, Irish, Mexican and
even French blood in me. I like to think that it helps me see many
different points of view but keeps me passionate and cultured… plus, I
never disrespect women because I love my mom.
As for teaching, when I was a kid I either wanted to be a bubble or a
teacher. The bubble scenario didn’t work out but teaching did and I
couldn’t imagine a better job…plus summers off is a bonus. I graduated
with a degree in Social Science Education with endorsements in ESL and
Leadership from the University of Northern Colorado in the Spring of
2007. In the Spring of 2010 I received my Masters Degree from Grand
Canyon University. I Don’t know if a PhD is in the future, but we’ll
see.
When it comes to the best things in my life, I try to keep it real
and simple. I love Chipotle burritos and my all-time favorite movie is
Love Actually. I think style is always important, but so is comfort;
hence I love me some SB Dunks. Outside of school I like to laugh, DJ,
travel and spend time with important people in my life. Above all, I
believe in the mantra “To thine own self be true.” That really just
means that I know I’m a nerd and wear it as a badge of pride. Word up.
